How to Create a Backup for Your Website

Important: This is the correct method for creating backups and we do not recommend any other method.

Log in to your cPanel control panel
Click on the Backups icon
You will see several options, click on Download or Generate a Full Web Site Backup
Enter your email address in the designated field
Click Generate Backup
Wait a moment while the backup is being prepared

You will receive an email notification that the backup is complete and ready for download
Click [Go Back] in the cPanel page
You will find the backup file available, click on it to download

Important: After downloading the backup, log in via FTP and delete it from the server to save storage space.
